RATTAN is a sustainable material that can be easily found in Malaysia. Rattan requires 5 to 7 years to renew and regrowth, a shorter period is needed compare to woods. Rattan is eco-friendly as the production facilities for rattan are not pollute the environment.
Rattan has more potential than it is now. Not only in handicraft and furniture, rattan can be used as construction materials. In the other hands, since rattan is a green and natural materials, it can producing a soothing effect for human moods.
Rattan Art Gallery + Healing Space
This is a project aims to promote the uses of using rattan and increase awareness of using sustainable materials. At the same time, with the concept of creating a space where links a healing space with nature.
Layout Plan
As the proposal is to create a space for the office workers and public to provide them a place to get mind relaxing after get off work. Rattan is the key material used in the project, it is flexible and can be curved to make soft lines and edges.
